Surin islands

Discover the enchanting beauty of the Surin Islands, a collection of five idyllic isles situated approximately 100 km north of Khao Lak. While not as widely recognized as the Similan Islands, the Surin Islands boast a unique charm that rivals any other destination. Renowned for vibrant coral reefs and a thriving underwater ecosystem, the islands captivate divers and snorkelers alike with their natural splendor.

Immersed in Mu Ko Surin National Park, these islands offer a pristine paradise adorned with lush vegetation and surrounded by turquoise waters. Unspoiled white sandy beaches, complemented by fantastic coral reefs and diverse marine life, extend a warm invitation for visitors to bask in the serenity of this untouched haven.

During our exploration, we pause at a small fishing village, the sole inhabited archipelago, providing a glimpse into the distinctive local culture. Your knowledgeable tour guide shares insights into the island life, enhancing your understanding of this unique community.

The Surin Islands are a haven for snorkeling, swimming, and relaxation, featuring two 45-minute snorkel stops that allow ample time to marvel at the underwater wonders. For lunch, we visit a restaurant within the national park, treating you to a delectable Thai buffet. Post-lunch, you have the opportunity to unwind on the beach and soak up the sun.

While your guide imparts fascinating information about island life, the village is not included in the itinerary. Following a fire that destroyed the iconic wood huts, the indigenous Moken community worked diligently to rebuild. To respect their privacy and tranquility, we abstain from visiting the village.

Note that Mu Ko Surin National Park observes an official closure from May 15th to October 15th, ensuring the preservation of this natural treasure during the monsoon season.
